The SOUL PORTRAIT

This is the story of your Soul’s expression told through an adventure in a painting. By decoding and navigation your Astrology Birth Chart combined with her intuitive interviewing process, Deanna will create a work of art that is designed from the most subtle frequencies and deepest mysteries of your heart. This masterpiece will act as a guide and encoded talisman radiating the Truth of who you are into your home and the world. This is a process that Deanna takes with the utmost honour and each painting takes months to build.

Initially the linen canvas will be smudged and washed at an appropriate time (like a lunar phase or personal day marker) preparing it for what is to come. The creative process will begin with painted symbols curated from your astrology chart on the base of the canvas followed by layers of colour encoding the most healing frequencies for your journey. This stage is very intuitive and intentional. It speaks of the ancient ritual of tattooing the canvas and applying protection in an initiation. This will make up the foundation of your art.

Then comes the diving and sketching stage where Deanna will begin to unfold the story of your Soul’s design. The images are archetypal and elemental in nature. Once they build into a coherent narrative, Deanna will consult with you before moving forward.

The demands of the painting are allowed to come forth at this stage. Whether it’s the location in the world the art calls to be painted in, the research required, the hand-spun linen surface acquired in a small ancestral village, the musical playlists that must be composed or played by live musicians, the acquiring of ingredients like sand from a specific beach, water from a sacred well, or pages from your favourite book layered into the textures…The steps that Deanna takes during this stage are an integral part of the story that is woven and honoured into life in the Portrait.

In the third act Deanna will use her lifetimes of acquired skill in classical oil painting to execute your Soul Portrait.

In the last part of the creation process Deanna will add specific elements that tell details of this intricate story. It could be crystals holding your spoken words, keys, a dried rose petal from an old lover, snake skin, cedar bark from a 2000 year old giant, sea shells from the Dead Sea or the hair from a white mare’s tail…hidden secrets that only you will know to share with the most intimate of hearts.

This painting will be created using the finest, boutique paints, golf, silver and copper leaf foils, crystal dust, and products that our world has to offer.

Finally in it’s last initiation it will be coated in a beeswax melted in fire with a damar varnish insuring that your Soul Portrait will last for generations.
